FREE MEDICATION PROGRAMS
… For low income and disabled persons
Many pharmaceutical companies offer Free Medications for low income and disabled patients. Generally, you will find that your doctor has the necessary forms for you to complete.
As part of the process, your doctor must sign the application, attach a prescription to it, and mail it directly to the pharmaceutical company. In the event that your doctor doesn’t have the necessary form to complete, or is unaware of this program, you can contact the Patient Assistance program directly for a copy of the form to take to your doctor.
The following list is for most of the medications currently being prescribed for the treatment of a range of mental illnesses. We have tried to keep the list as current as possible, but new medications are always coming into the market. If you do not find your particular medication on this list, you can go to WebMD (www.WebMD.com) to locate the name and contact information.
You should also visit NeedyMeds.org (www.NeedyMeds.org). This is an excellent website and resource guide to low cost and free medication.
